Radio Brockley Nominated for Station of the Year 2022

The nominations have been announced for the 2022 Hospital Broadcasting Association awards, and Radio Brockley has been nominated in the Top 10 in two categories, once again including the prestigious “Station Of The Year” category.

This continues a quite incredible run which has seen London’s longest-running hospital radio station nominated for “Station of the Year” for the 10th year in a row!!

Radio Brockley has taken home the top prize of Gold for the UK Station of the Year on three occasions during that time – in 2016, 2018 and 2020 – so can we continue the run of winning on the even numbered years?

Radio Brockley faces tough competition though from previous winners Radio Tyneside and Hospital Radio Plymouth who were also nominated again. Other stations in the running for the big prize are BHBN, Durham Hospitals Radio, Radio Ysbyty Gwynedd, Radio Redhill, Radio Glamorgan, Grampian Hospital Radio and Torbay Hospital Radio. The winner of the big prize last year was Radio Harrow.

Radio Brockley meanwhile was also nominated in the category of Best Speech Package, where we are also joined in the shortlist by near neighbours Radio Hillingdon.

The winners will be announced later in the year, and good luck to everyone involved. You can see the full list of nominations here:
