Alpha Sessions Celebrates 11th Anniversary
Radio Brockley followed up the hugely successful and award-winning “Alpha Sessions 10” event with “Alpha Sessions 11” on Sunday 17th November.
The broadcast, marking 11 years of the New Music show, saw seven amazing music artists playing live in the studio, and chat about their music, to support the charity and raise the profile of hospital radio. The sessions were recorded for later broadcast on YouTube, but also broadcast live on Facebook on the Radio Brockley page, which allowed patients and fans to submit questions to the artists. The event also saw a presentation given to Ron Laver for 45 years of voluntary work at Radio Brockley. Ron does all the video editing for Alpha Sessions, as well as assisting with lots of the technical side and even doing the odd interview himself. He is a huge reason why the Alpha Sessions has developed the following it has today.
