Christmas 2020 Special Programmes Announced
Radio Brockley will once again be providing a number of special programmes over the festive period, to entertain patients and staff at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital.
A number of the regular shows will be broadcasting Christmas specials, including festive versions of the “Decade Delights” series – playing the best festive songs from each decade, and a Rewind Christmas Special, with a festive Top 40 from a featured year.
The line-up also include the 2020 RNOH Carol Service, which has been produced as a “virtual” event for the first time this year due to Covid restrictions.
Another exciting addition to the list is a four-part documentary on the career of Matt Monro, introduced by his daughter Michele – and a special interview with Michele is being played out on Brockley News.
There is also an interview with the RNOH interim CEO, Professor Paul Fish, and the second part of the podcast series on the Grey Lady – the ghost of WW1 at the RNOH.
There will also be some live specials including festive editions of the Sunday request show, a countdown of the UK’s Christmas Top 40 on Sunday 27th December, and on Sunday 3rd January we will reveal the annual request chart, which will show which songs and artists have been requested the most in 2020 on Radio Brockley.
