Abba back at the top in May Request Chart
It’s been quite a month for Abba, who announced in May that they are reforming for the first time since 1983 to record some new material. They have rebounded back up the request chart 11 places to reclaim the No.1 spot, just two months after they previously went to the top. The group made the annual top five in our request chart for the first time ever in 2017, and are now among the main contenders to claim the annual No.1 for 2018 as we approach the mid-way stage.
Meanwhile Elvis Presley slipped one place to number two in the May request chart, with Ed Sheeran, Adele and Whitney Houston making up the rest of an otherwise fairly static top five.
The most requested song of the month was “Perfect” by Ed Sheeran whilst Abba, The Beatles and Madness all had songs in the monthly Top 10.
Here are May’s most requested artists:
1) (12) Abba
2) (1) Elvis Presley
3) (2) Ed Sheeran
4) (4) Adele
5) (5) Whitney Houston
6) (–) Michael Jackson
7) (4) Frank Sinatra
8) (6) The Beatles
9) (7) Queen
10)(14) Rod Stewart
