Adele Tops September Request Chart

Adele moved to the top of the request chart for the first time this year to become the most request artist of September by patients of the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital. The month chart saw Adele, who hasn’t had a hit in 2018, re-enter the chart at the top spot. She is among the leading contenders to be the most requested artist of the year along with Elvis Presley, Abba and Queen.

Ed Sheeran climbed six places to No.2 last month, with Simon & Garfunkel, Elvis Presley and Emeli Sande completing the Top 5. Meanwhile the most requested song of the month surprisingly went to Emeli Sande for her song “Clown” – which was a Top 5 hit for her in 2012.
