Alpha Sessions show welcomes more future music stars
Radio Brockley’s “new music” show, the Alpha Sessions has been welcoming a number of new artists through its doors since the start of the year, and there have been some amazing live sessions – with artists travelling the length of the country to appear on the programme.
The show, hosted by Emma and Alan Joyce, plays out on Radio Brockley on Friday evenings at 8pm and on Sundays at 6pm. However you can also listen to and watch their interviews and live sessions via the show’s YouTube channel, which has now had over 5,000 views.
Here are the artists who have been to the Radio Brockley studios over the last few months:
ZOE WREN
Starting out as a busker in Camden, Zoe Wren was the youngest performer to play the main stage at Folkstock Festival when she was just 16. She is now a recipient of the 2017 PRS Lynsey de Paul Prize for emerging female singer-songwriters. Catch her interview with Emma Joyce here:
TABITHA JADE AND ELIZA MAI
Multi-award winners Tabitha Jade and Eliza Mai travelled all the way from Liverpool to be on the show. They were winners of the UK Open Mic awards. Catch their session with Emma here:
YAZZY
Yazzy, “half lioness, half songbird”, is an 18 year old award winning singer/
NUALA
Nuala is a regular on the London busking circuit and has been wowing audiences at gigs across the southeast. She recently supported Newton Faulkner on tour. You can watch her interview and live session here:
RU
Ru is from Lisbon but has toured across Europe and Canada and is now based in London. She has received airplay across numerous BBC stations and was chosen to play at the Presidential Palace in Portugal! You can watch her interview and live session here:
