Elvis Presley Returns to Number One in July Request Chart

Elvis Presley returned to the top of the request chart in July, having spent the previous two months at number two. Elvis Presley and Abba have been locked in a battle for the top spot over the last few months with Abba having topped the charts for the previous two months in the poll of the most popular artists as chosen by patients at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital in Stanmore. Abba dropped to second place in the monthly chart with Queen holding at No.3, Ben E King climbing to No.4 and Ed Sheeran rounding off the Top 5.

Ben E King’s “Stand By Me” was the most requested song of the month, with songs by Neil Diamond, Calvin Harris and Michael Jackson included in the Top 10.
