Elvis Presley tops October 2019 Request Chart

Elvis Presley has landed a second consecutive month at the top of the monthly request chart in October, topping our poll for the third time in 2019. He was the most requested artist for the whole of 2018 by patients of the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital in Stanmore, and is among the favourites to take the title in 2019 as well. However fewer than 10 requests separate this year’s Top 4 artists at present. Frank Sinatra moves up 8 places to No.2, with Roy Orbison, Nat King Cole and Dolly Parton making up the rest of the Top 5.

The most requested song of the month was “Total Eclipse Of The Heart” by Bonnie Tyler. The song, which was originally a hit in 1983, tops our monthly chart for the first time. Tracks by Roy Orbison, the Temptations and Marvin Gaye also made our monthly Top 10.
