Long Service Awards For Sue and Marge
Two of Radio Brockley’s long-serving members were presented with certificates last weekend for their services to Radio Brockley for a combined total of 50 years!!
Marge Walker joined the station back in 2003 and has been a very popular patient rep on the wards, a long-time supporter of Bedside Bingo, and has putting together some amusing and compelling speech packages over the years. She may be best known for her long-running partnership with Martin Gold on Tuesday nights, which has run for well over 10 years now.
Sue Weston joined Radio Brockley way back in 1983 and also had a long association with shows on Tuesday evenings, being part of the long-running Tuesday team. She was also a regular on Sunday evenings. More recently she has supported the Brockley News programme and has done a series of interview with The Disability Foundation about their complimentary therapies. Her latest one, on hypnotherapy, led on to the start of our regular Mending Minds shows.
Both Marge and Sue were presented with their certificates by Radio Brockley’s longest-serving volunteer, and trustee, David Rauch. Well done and “thank you” from everyone at Radio Brockley to Sue and Marge for all your support over the years.
