More Great Alpha Sessions Guests Come to Radio Brockley

Radio Brockley’s “new music” show, the Alpha Sessions continues to welcome more amazing artists to the studio. The show’s YouTube channel has now had just under 11,500 views and has recently welcomed an established chart band, the Mystery Jets, to the studio.

The show, hosted by Emma and Alan Joyce, plays out on Radio Brockley on Friday evenings at 8pm and on Sundays at 6pm. MELINDA ORTNER
Melinda established herself in Los Angeles, but in more recent years has relocated to London. She has toured America, Japan, Europe and the UK, and also won MTV’s “Steal The Spotlight” contest. Find out more about her here.

TENACITY
Singer Ula Wodarz (AKA Tenacity) grew up in Poland but moved to London a couple of years ago to study at the BRIT School in Croydon. Since then she has made the grand final of the Coffee Music Project in London. Find out more on her Facebook page here.

DREWJAM
DrewJam has gigged around London as a solo artist and in a duo for years. More recently he has explored the Hertfordshire music scene. He has an expanding catalogue of original songs, and his latest single “Medicine Man” is available now. Check out his website here.

RICHARD JAMES
Richard James was our first guest to use a loop pedal in the studio. He won the Coffee Music Project final this year and will therefore be performing in New York in the autumn. The winning song from the contest, called “Fumes” is out now. Find out more at this link.

BARRY LOCKE
Barry Locke is a singer songwriter from Bangor Northern Ireland, but currently based in London. In the past two years he has completed his debut album “O N E “, essentially an auto biographical concept album. Read more here:

JOEY CLARKSON
Having spent more than 10 years honing her songwriting and performing craft, Joey is no stranger to the stage. After many years of touring between the west coast of Canada, Europe and the UK, she has now settled in London. Read more about her here.

SHEYA LILY
Sheya is an 18 year old singer/songwriter, guitarist and actress from South London. She is another music graduate from the Brit School, and is rapidly building up a huge following. Her EP’s “Flame”and “Finding My Way” are out now. Find out more at this link.

NIKITA KC
Nikita KC is a London born singer-songwriter and artist, primarily writing and recording soul, R’n’B and pop music. She has already released two singles, which she performed for us, along with a brand new track! Read more here

RIVAL KARMA
Rival Karma are made up of Martin who was born in France and grew up in America, and PJ from Italy. They met in London and describe themselves as a Ninja Rock duo. They did a great acoustic set for us which you will be able to hear soon.

NIELSEN REAVELEY
Nielsen writes songs about topics others shy away from discussing. Some song topics he covers include emotional wellbeing, broken family bonds and absence of relationships. He has received high praise from the likes of Tom Robinson at BBC 6 Music.

RYAN HARMAN
Ryan’s Facebook page describes him as “deeply emotional yet awkwardly quirky. Ryan will take you on a rollercoaster with his witty yet thought provoking songs, taking a contemporary pop sound and wrapping it in a blanket of vintage jazz”.

MINNIE BIRCH
Minnie is a singer-songwriter from Hertfordshire. She has received national airplay on the likes of BBC Radio 2, BBC 6 Music, and on BBC Radio 1 as Huw Stephens’ “Artist Of The Week”. She has supported the likes of Joan Armatrading on stage. Find out more here.
