Radio Brockley Strikes Gold Again in National HBA Awards
Radio Brockley has won a Gold award again at the 2022 annual HBA National Hospital Radio awards. The award was for Best Speech Package for our coverage of the Stanmore Steppers in 2021. The package was put together by Keith Reeve, and edited for the awards by Ron Laver. It’s the fourth time the station has won the Gold award for Best Speech Package, as the station once again is recognised for it’s speech content.
In addition, Radio Brockley also won a bronze award in the most prestigious category of them all – Station of the Year. That means the station has now finished in the national Top 3 no less than seven times! (Gold in 2016, 2018 and 2020, Silver in 2015 and 2017, and Bronze in 2014 and 2022).
The winners of the big prize this year were Radio Ysbty Gwnedd, who won the Gold for Station of the Year, ahead of Radio Tyneside.
