Radio Brockley Supports “Back The Back Walk”

Radio Brockley is supporting a brilliant fund-raising event in aid of the RNOH Charity and Scoliosis Research. The “Back The Back Walk” is a brilliant fund-raising event by ex-patient Freya, who was diagnosed with Scoliosis at the age of 11, and less than a year later had corrective surgery at the base of her spine.

Freya is aiming to walk the entire 268 miles of the Pennine Way, otherwise known as the “Backbone of Britain” to raise awareness of Scoliosis. She begins her walk on 30th June in Edale, Derbyshire and will finish at Kirk Yetholm at the Scottish Border.

There will be a launch concert on Saturday 22nd June at St Marylebone Church in London, featuring the Firth Singers. You can purchase tickets through the website at https://www.backthebackwalk.org, where you can also find out more about her story, and other ways you can support the event.

You can also hear the interview, as well as songs by Freya and the Firth Singers in a Brockley News special, hosted by Keith Reeve – which you can now listen to and download on Spotify, or listen here:
