Walking Back to Happiness – RNOH Fundraiser

Radio Brockley  recently interviewed a former patient of the RNOH, Glenn Meyer. Due to an accident, he damaged discs in his spine, which caused him so  much pain that he was unable to walk. He underwent a number of operations, and, slowly was able to recover his ability to walk.

Glenn says “Having successfully undergone spinal fusion surgery at RNOH I have gone from using a wheelchair to hiking 37 miles from my home in Surrey to the hospital in Stanmore. Just because I can and because it’s a brilliant place that could do with all the extra help we can give.”

Team Walking Back to Happiness completed their 37 mile walk on 7 May and were given a fantastic reception at the Stanmore building of the RNOH.
