Radio Brockley Broadcasts OPUS Presentation to RNOH
Radio Brockley was recently invited along to a special presentation in the RNOH by user group OPUS, who are based at the Stanmore Orthotic and Prosthetic centre. Their aim is to provide an effective forum for prosthetic users, their families and carers.
They had a wonderful presentation of equipment purchased from the Tesco Bags of Help Grant secured by Steel Bones for paediatric users at RNOH Stanmore.
It was a special Celebration attended by the Trust’s CEO Rob Hurd and Chair of the Trustees Dominic Dodd, David Bickers CEO The Douglas Bader Foundation, and. Dr Imad Sedki along with his Multi Disciplinary Team of prosthetists, orthotists, psychologist and counsellor and representatives from Steeper.
Radio Brockley’s newest reporter, Rebecca Lewis, interviewed some of the people behind the project for a special “Brockley News” programme, which was broadcast shortly afterwards. She also spoke to the new RNOH Chairman Dominic Dodd, as well as the Chief Executive Rob Hurd. Rob also chose a request, which was played at the end of the programme.
