The Beatles Top January 2020 Request Chart

The Beatles have started 2020 as the most requested artist of the month by patients of the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital on Radio Brockley. The “fab four” have never topped our annual request chart, since it first started in 1985. However they have become more consistent in our annual Top 10, and just maybe this will be the year when they top our annual chart. The number one artist of last month and indeed the last two years, Elvis Presley, drops to number two on this month’s chart. Another regular, Frank Sinatra, moves up to number three.

Special mention has to go to Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton at number four. The country legend Kenny Rogers retweeted one of our request chart tweets over the New Year, and it has since picked up around 5,000 views and over 70 likes!!

It comes as no surprise, therefore, that “Islands In The Stream” by Kenny and Dolly was the most requested song of last month. Tracks by Amy Winehouse, Drake and S Club 7 also made our monthly Top 10.
