Westlife Top February 2020 Request Chart
Westlife have topped our monthly request chart for the first time in over 13 years! The last time they were the most requested artist of the month was way back in December 2006, when the likes of Gnarls Barkley, Pussycat Dolls and Lemar were joining them on the request chart. But they found themselves back as our most requested artist at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital largely thanks to a demand for their song “You Raise Me Up”, which returned to the top of our most requested songs chart.
The Beatles meanwhile dropped one place to number two on our monthly chart, but that’s also their position on the chart of the year so far (behind Elvis Presley). If they end the year in that position, that will be their highest ever placing. Frank Sinatra remains at number three on the monthly chart, with the top five being completed by Bob Marley and Queen.
It was an easy victory for Westlife’s “You Raise Me Up” on the most requested songs of the month, but also featuring in the February Top 10 were track from Dean Martin, Barbr Streisand, and newcomers Tones and I.
