Radio Brockley Launches New Mental Health Podcast Series

Radio Brockley has launched a new series of podcasts aimed at Mental Health during the COVID-19 pandemic, hosted by new member Rebecca Lewis, and her mum Caroline (pictured). The series entitled “Mental Health Check” deals with anxiety and breathing to help those struggling during the Coronavirus lockdown, or for those staying in hospital during this difficult time.

Caroline is a yoga teacher, and has put together this series with Rebecca from their home. It follows from the regular Brockley News updates which are also being produced mainly from home by Alan Joyce and Keith Reeve.

The national Hospital Radio Station of the Year is keen to provide extra support during the pandemic, and has set up a special podcast “hub” for these programmes, which can be downloaded and listened to on demand via Spreaker or most popular podcast sites.

You can listen to the programmes via this link:

We also have our other mental health podcast called “Mending Minds”, with Sharon Keaney from The Disability Foundation, which has meditations on a range of areas including sleep, anxiety, self esteem and positivity. There will also be some newly recorded sessions coming soon. You can hear these on Radio Brockley on Monday evenings at 9pm, or download them any time at the link below.
