Our Team
Having joined Radio Brockley in 1971, David is Radio Brockley's longest serving member. Whilst supporting many of the stations behind the scenes activities, he presents Chain Reaction as well as co-presenting The Sunday Request Show.
Keith was a patient at the RNOH in the '60s and 70's, joining Radio Brockley in 1977. He is the station's Treasurer, is involved with most aspects of the station and was awarded the HBA's prestigious 'John Whitney Award' in 2016 for his outstanding contribution to UK Hospital Broadcasting. Keith presents Decade Delights - 1970's, some editions of That Was The Year That Was and also supports The Sunday Request Show.
Neil joined Radio Brockley in 2017 and has become a regular patient visiting team member and co-presenter of The Sunday Request Show.
Rebecca presents some editions of That Was The Year That Was, also helps support and occasionally presents Brockley News and has produced a series of podcasts called Mental Health Check with her Mum, Caroline Lewis.
Adam presents some editions of Decade Delights - Noughties Hour with Alice Glossop.
Alan joined the station in 1991, and now presents Brockley News, Rewind and Decade Delights - 1980's, well as co-presenting Alpha Sessions with his wife Emma Joyce. It was Alan's idea to have a regular weekly news programme focussing on events in and around the hospital, so in July 2010 he launched Brockley News. He has also been a driving force behind our HBA Award entries over recent years, and these have brought considerable success to Radio Brockley. Alan is also our Media Librarian.
At the 2019 HBA Awards, the Alpha Sessions team of Alan, Emma Joyce and Ron Laver won the Gold award for Special Event for the "Alpha Sessions 10" weekend of programmes.
Alice presents some editions of Decade Delights - Noughties Hour with Adam Levy.
Carina is the voice of many of our jingles.
Dave has been involved with hospital and community broadcasting since 1974 when he joined Radio Tyneside in Newcastle, where he remains their chairman. For several years he was chairman of the Hospital Broadcasting Association (HBA), in 1997 he was awarded an MBE for his volunteer service, and in 2013 the prestigious HBA John Whitney Award.

Emma presents Alpha Sessions, Decade Delights - 1990s and some editions of Decade Delights - the 'noughties.

Garry first volunteered on Radio Brockley in the 1970's, and from time to time returns to record more of his excellent From The Vaults shows. The programmes feature music from the 50's and 60's, all backed up with Garry's knowledge of the artists and songs.
John was a volunteer back in the 1970's, and re-joined in 2018. He is one of our patient visiting and Request Show team, and also presents The John Austin Show.
Judy was nominated in the Best Female Presenter category at the 2017 HBA Awards.
Ken has been a hospital radio volunteer since 1976, originally with Bridge FM in Dundee, and is currently a committee member of Northern Air Hospital Radio in Manchester.
He invites you to join him In The Drawing Room here at Radio Brockley for an hour of light classical and chamber music for relaxing and enjoying. Ken has an eclectic musical taste and counts chamber music among his favourites.
Margaret has a friendly and bubbly personality, and is one of our patient visiting and request show team.
Marge is part of The Tuesday Request Show team. At the 2015 HBA Awards, Marge won bronze in the Best Female Presenter category.
Martin presents Yesterday Once More as well as Sound Tracks, and is part of The Tuesday Request Show team.
Norman was a founder member of hospital Radio in Glasgow and Paisley in 1969.
In 1973 he joined the original team at Radio Clyde 261 as a evening producer, then as a presenter of the Saturday Breakfast Show and Visiting Time on a Sunday, with an audience of 360,000 listeners.
In 1985 Norman founded an entertainment agency and event company, then in 1990 a wholesale distribution company.
Retiring in 2012 he returned to hospital radio, building a home studio to produce and syndicate programmes, including Lets Get Together which is a spotlight on an artist or group, playing 15 of their popular songs and including a biographical look at their career.
In 2018 he applied and was successfully granted a licence from Ofcom to set up a Community Radio station.
Norman still presents a weekly show on hospital Radio in Glasgow, and daily shows on Paisley FM.
He also runs a Training Academy to provide young people with the SQA level 5 course in Radio broadcasting as part of further achievement courses in schools
Paul was a popular member of Radio Brockley for 23 years up to 2015. You will occasionally hear him presenting some pre-recorded Classic Request Shows and That Was The Year That Was.
Richard presents The A-Z Of Pop each weekday lunchtime from 1.00pm. The programme features music from many decades, usually based on a theme or letter, along with trivia and fun competitions.
Ron presents Country Music Stories and his own Country Music Weekly.
He has been with Radio Brockley since 1974 and finds the time to edit much of the content used in our Brockley News and Alpha Sessions shows, as well as presenting some of the programmes.
Ron has also been a driving force behind the nominations we have submitted for the annual HBA Awards, many of which have won.
In 2016 Ron, together with Sue Weston, was awarded silver in the Best Speech Package category for their coverage of the “RNOH Clinical Trials Day”.

Sarah is Head of Fundraising at the Skeletal Cancer Trust, a charity based at the RNOH. She hosts The SCT Hour, which features all aspects of the work the charity does. To find out more, please visit their website.
Sharon presents Mending Minds, a series of programs featuring guided meditation sessions. The series will help you tackle some of the challenges you may be facing in your life and help provide action and direction for a positive outcome.
